“Very happy to see this today. While they might seem like childish expressions, these are works inspired by the Spanish master Joan Miró,” said Art Foo.

Art Foo added that the very introduction of Art @ Shine was to provide students the opportunity to express themselves as a child (childish expressions)! Art (including music, dance and drama) is one of the few subjects that give students that much needed space to learn through making mistakes and still be praised accordingly!

One-day Educational Field Trip to Kampong Thom Province for Grade 7 Students

វិទ្យាស្ថានអប់រំសាំងហ្គាពួរ បានរៀបចំកម្មវីធីដំណើរទស្សនកិច្ចសិក្សាទៅខេត្តកំពង់ធំចំនួន ០១ ថ្ងៃ សម្រាប់សិស្សានុសិស្សថ្នាក់ទី៧ ចំណេះទូទៅភាសាខ្មែររបស់យើង។

ការធ្វើទស្សនកិច្ចសិក្សានេះមានគោលបំណងឱ្យសិស្សានុសិស្ស មានការស្វែងយល់ពីប្រវត្តិនិងចម្លាក់នៃប្រាង្គប្រាសាទបុរាណខ្មែរ ស្វ័យសិក្សាអំពីសក្ដានុពលទេសចរណ៍នៅក្នុងខេត្តកំពង់ធំ បណ្ដុះទម្លាប់ឱ្យសិស្សចេះធ្វើការងារជាក្រុមនិងចេះសាមគ្គីគ្នា បង្កើននូវភាពសប្បាយរីករាយបន្ទាប់ពីបញ្ចប់ការសិក្សាក្នុងឆមាសទី១។

Singapore Helm Institute of Education (SHINE) has organized a one-day educational field trip in Kampong Thom province for students in Grade 7, Khmer Education Programme (KEP).

Throughout the trip, the students learned about the history and sculptures of the Sambo Prey Kuk temple and other tourism potential in Kampong Thom province. The field trip also contributed greatly to building self-confidence and fostering a sense of teamwork and community among our students at this level.

Our Grade 12 students, led by Mrs. Sok Huch – Lead Teacher, had a school trip to the Angkor Wat Temple and the National Museum. They had incredible chances to understand about the rich history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and the Khmer theology carved on the walls of the temple, related to Ream Ker, various myths, and the history of the temple’s inscription style.

Chreav Health Center of the Ministry of Health offered the one-dose human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine free of charge to nine-year-old (female) students at Singapore Helm Institute of Education (SHINE).
