Coding Classes for LEP Y7 & Y8
/Even when studying from home, our LEP Y7 and Y8 students still continue their coding classes. Using Zoom to be able to share their screens allows the students to regularly check in with their teachers and collaborate and work together.
They will continue to learn block-based coding using Scratch until they are confident, before moving on to more advanced coding languages and web design.
++ Block-based-code is a visual-based programming language targeted primarily at people who have little to no experience with coding. In this course, students will learn the basic of computer programming via creating many small projects such as creating their own animations, digital arts, quiz by using Block-based-code. Our projects range from very simple animations which generally warm up the students for more complex projects down the line. We believe in starting with small wins which helps build the confidence in students and thereby helping them to tackle difficult projects with ease. ++
